The Persol 3007VM eyeglasses bring Italian craftsmanship and modern comfort together in a square frame that works for everyday wear. Handmade in Italy from premium acetate, these prescription-ready frames feature a keyhole bridge and clean lines that add structure without looking heavy.
Flex Hinge Technology for All-Day Comfort
The 3007VM updates the classic 3007V design with integrated flex hinges—a modern alternative to Persol's traditional Meflecto system. These spring-loaded hinges let the temples adapt to different head shapes and reduce pressure during extended wear. The acetate construction keeps the frames lightweight, and the 19mm bridge with keyhole cutout sits comfortably on most nose shapes. Available in 50mm and 52mm lens widths with a 145mm temple length, the frame fits small to medium faces.
Persol Heritage Since 1917
Persol—from the Italian "per il sole" (for the sun)—has been making eyewear in Turin since 1917. Each frame is handcrafted in Lauriano, Italy, using premium cellulose acetate that's durable and hypoallergenic. The iconic Silver Arrow hinge detail appears on the temples, a design inspired by ancient swords that's been a Persol signature since the 1930s. The square shape with slightly rounded corners suits oval, round, and heart-shaped faces, and the full-rim design provides excellent lens security for prescription lenses.
These frames ship with demo lenses that your optician will replace with your prescription. The 3007VM accepts single-vision, bifocal, and progressive lenses. Multiple acetate finishes are available, including classic Havana tortoise, solid black, and unique multi-color patterns. Each pair includes a Persol protective case and cleaning cloth.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are Persol 3007VM eyeglasses prescription-ready?
Yes, the Persol 3007VM frames are designed for prescription lenses. They come with demo lenses that need to be replaced by an optician with your prescription. The frames accept single-vision, bifocal, and progressive lenses in various materials including standard plastic, polycarbonate, and high-index options.
What is the difference between Persol 3007V and 3007VM?
The 3007VM is an updated version of the 3007V with modern flex hinges instead of the traditional Meflecto system. Both share the same square shape and keyhole bridge, but the VM model uses spring-loaded flex hinges for comfort and adaptability. The flex hinge design requires fewer manufacturing steps while still providing excellent fit and durability.
What size should I choose for Persol 3007VM frames?
The 3007VM comes in two sizes: 50mm and 52mm lens width, both with a 19mm bridge and 145mm temples. The 50mm size suits smaller faces, while the 52mm works for small to medium faces. The flex hinges help both sizes adapt to different head widths. If you typically wear frames with a 50-54mm lens width, either size should work comfortably.
Are Persol 3007VM frames made in Italy?
Yes, every Persol 3007VM frame is handmade in Lauriano, Italy, using premium cellulose acetate. Persol has been crafting eyewear in Italy since 1917, and each frame undergoes multiple quality control steps. The frames include authentic Persol markings and come with a manufacturer's warranty.
Do Persol 3007VM eyeglasses come with a case?
Yes, authentic Persol 3007VM frames include a protective hard case and cleaning cloth with purchase. The case protects your frames from scratches and damage during storage and transport. Some retailers may also include additional accessories.
What face shapes work best with Persol 3007VM frames?
The square shape with keyhole bridge of the 3007VM complements oval, round, and heart-shaped faces by adding definition and structure. The slightly rounded corners soften the look compared to purely angular frames. The keyhole bridge sits well on most nose shapes and adds a vintage-inspired detail that's flattering across different face types.
