The Victorious Style and Eyewear of Nike
Named after the Greek goddess of victory, Nike is athletic gear, footwear and accessories.
This brand got its start in the mid-1960s when Bill Bowerman made the first pair of running shoes using his waffle iron. Back then, the brand was known as Blue Ribbon Sports. The company’s first employee, Jeff Johnson came up with the name Mike.
In the early day of the company, salesmen sold the athletic footwear from the back of their cars. As sales from footwear increased, Nike was able to sell from buildings and also expand its line into other products, including sunglasses and eyewear.
Today Nike eyewear includes protective glasses for baseball, golf, cycling, tennis, multi-sport activities, snow-bound sports, skate boarding an of course, running. Is there really that much difference between sports?
Yes, says Nike. The shape of the frames, how they are designed to fit the face, and the color of the lenses all matter. That’s why Nike eyewear offers such an incredible array of lightweight sunglasses styles and colors.
Choose from styles called, Champ, Trophi, Adrenaline, Grind and Varsity, to name just a few of the ones available. The lenses are designed to protect the eye area, the frames to fit comfortably without sliding, and you have a wide range of color choices that will complement any of your athletic gear.
Frame colors available include traditional neutral tones of black, gray, silver, white and brown, as well as much trendier colors like aqua, hot pink, tangerine, lemon and purple.
The lenses, too come in a wide array of tints, and each color has a special purpose, depending on the activity and what you must be able to see clearly. For example, the lavender lenses help reduce overall brightness when you surrounded by expansive fields of green, such as when playing golf. Gray lenses significantly reduce glare.
Nike also offers sporty eyewear for your prescription needs. These eyeglasses, too, bear the same bright colors and energetic style as the sunglasses in this brand. Whether you are looking for oversized square frames, narrower rectangular shaped frames or shield styles, Nike has something to offer you.
When you combine bold colors, dynamic frame styles, and the right lens colors, you have a pair of eyeglasses that says you are a contender in any outdoor activity you pursue, whether you are at Base Camp 1 in Nepal or just hanging out by the pool.
This brand does more than assist the athlete with the right eyewear protection; Nike offers great looks for anyone enjoying the outdoors, no matter your lifestyle or age.
Nike produces eyewear for men, women and children; there are a thousand styles from which to choose in the Nike line, and each one is meant to make you victorious.
